By the end of the course, the students should be able to:
a) Understanding the theoretical foundations of sustainability in the built environment.
b) Understanding the basic process and tools for implementing sustainable urbanism in the framework of the society and the local/ global environment.
c) Identifying the role and the impact of the main parameters determining the environmental performance of urban areas and buildings.
d) Understanding the basic issues on buildings’ energy and environmental performance, both of new and of existing buildings.
e) Implementing preliminary solutions for the improvement of buildings’ energy and environmental performance, both of new and of existing buildings.
