This course is designed to provide you with an introduction to the enormous, many-sided, enjoyable, and sometimes odious world of economics. It aims to give you an overview of the modern market economy as a system for dealing with:

*the problem of scarcity,

*supply and demand analysis,

*resource allocation, and the rational of government intervention,

*consumer decision making.

The course will not give you all the answers, nor all the professional skills of an economist, but will provide you with a toolbag of basic analytical techniques which you would need to effectively function as an active participant in the ever changing world we live.
